Android developer Breezy has already managed to bring Android 4.0 ie Ice Cream Sandwich to the Nexus S 4G. The developer has been working off the Android image from latest SDK release.
The developer plans to release the image shortly though as of now there is no-functioning WiFi, Bluetooth, cellular data. The touchscreen is also not fully optimized at the moment. Google has already confirmed that the Nexus S will be getting Android 4.0 soon but if you are particularly eager to get the latest and greatest version of the OS you might want to try out the custom ROM as soon as it hits !
