TECNO today teased its new PHANTOM ULTIMATE 2, an ultra-thin tri-fold concept smartphone that aims to redefine the large-screen experience within a compact device.
The PHANTOM ULTIMATE 2 stands out as the thinnest triple-folding smartphone, measuring just 11mm when folded. When fully opened, it features an impressive 10-inch screen with TDDI technology, a first for foldable devices.

The PHANTOM ULTIMATE 2 transitions from a standard smartphone to a tablet-like device with its tri-fold design.
Despite this, the device maintains a slim profile, thanks to an innovative hinge that keeps the thickness at 11mm, making it slimmer than many current bi-fold models.
The battery cover is the thinnest in the industry at just 0.25mm, made from advanced Titan Advanced Fiber material. This material ensures durability while allowing for a thinner design.
Additionally, the streamlined camera design helps maintain a lightweight profile without sacrificing image quality.
Large, Durable Screen with Advanced Features
The device unfolds from a 6.48-inch phone into a 10-inch tablet with a 4:3 aspect ratio. It features an OLED Touch and Display Driver Integration (TDDI) and a 3K LTPO screen with a 392 PPI resolution.
The hinge design boasts a strength of 2100MPa and can withstand over 300,000 folds, contributing to the device’s longevity and ensuring a smooth, crease-free display.
Versatile Use and Optimized UI
The PHANTOM ULTIMATE 2 supports screen hovering for various scenarios, such as typing on a keyboard while using the screen upright for a laptop-like display.
It also features a tent mode for dual-screen face-to-face AI translation and multi-window mode for efficient multitasking.
The device’s software and UI are optimized for its tri-fold design, including dynamic wallpapers, adaptive icons, and layouts tailored for different use cases.
