realme launched the realme 13 5G, a new phone in the new number series in India, today along with the 13+ 5G. This shares a similar screen, and battery, but gets a faster Dimensity 6300 SoC, has stereo speakers. Here we have the phone.

The realme 13 5G has a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD centre punch-hole screen with a pixel resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The sunlight legibility is good as well, thanks to 600 nits typical brightness, 680 nits of peak brightness. The phone has 120Hz variable refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screen has Dragon Trail Glass protection.
It has the punch-hole that houses a 16-megapixel camera, an upgrade compared to 8-megapixel in the predecessor. The earpiece is present on the top that acts as a stereo speaker. You can see a small bezel below the screen.
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC with 5G SA/NA support, it has up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with up to 10GB of additional RAM expansion. There is up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone has 2249mmmm² stainless steel vapor chamber, making it one of the few phones in the price range to feature it.
Coming to the button placements and ports, the power button that houses the fingerprint sensor is present on the right side along with the volume rockers. The 3.5mm audio jack is present on the bottom, along with the primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill. Audio from the stereo speaker is good without distortion. The hybrid dual SIM slot is present on the top along with the secondary microphone, and the speaker vent.
The phone has a 50-megapixel main camera with Samsung ISOCELL S5KJNS and secondary 2MP portrait camera. It has 1080p 30fps recording for the rear and front cameras, and doesn’t have OIS. Check out the camera samples below.
Coming to the design, the phone has a sleek 7.79mm Victory Speed Design and has IP64 ratings for dust and splash resistance. The phone has a smooth, matte finish that doesn’t attract fingerprints.
The Dark Purple colour that we have looks like black, and it also comes in Speed Green colour. It has a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
