Reliance Jio at the 47th annual general meeting (AGM) introduced the JioTV OS, the company’s own operating system, along with JioTV+ for on-demand content and JioHome for connected experience.

The JioTV OS, the company’s own operating system for Jio Set-Top Box, will offer a faster, smoother, and more personalized experience. The Jio TvOS supports cutting-edge home entertainment features like Ultra HD 4K video, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos, said the company.
This will offer an entertainment ecosystem that includes apps, live TV and shows in a single easy to use system.
Hello Jio
Hello Jio voice assistant is now powered by advanced Generative AI technologies. This allows users to search for content across various apps using simple voice commands like, “Hello Jio, find action movies,” or “Open Netflix.”
The improved Hello Jio also supports voice commands for controlling the Jio STB, such as increasing the volume, making it a truly hands-free experience.
JioHome
Jio Home IoT solutions is fully integrated with Jio TvOS, make your home more intelligent and responsive to your needs. With the Matter-compliant solutions, Jio Home IoT ensures all the smart devices work seamlessly together and can be controlled from a single unified platform.
The JioHome app, which is the personal control centre now lets you manage all the smart devices with just a few taps. It also includes features like malware detection and guest Wi-Fi management, keeping the home network safe and secure.
JioTV+ gets Advanced interactive features
JioTV+ that brings all the entertainment such as live TV from over 860 live TV channels, on-demand shows with Catch-up TV that lets you go back up to seven days and catch up on what you missed, and apps like Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar—together in one easy-to-use platform is getting advanced interactive features.
The upcoming Play-Pause feature will let you pause live TV and pick up right where you left off whenever you are ready. JioTV+ will also let you check the stats, let you buy tickets, or switch camera angles when watching a live cricket match or the Olympics —all without leaving the app.
The integrated social features will let you share what you are watching with friends, join live watch parties, or discuss your favourite shows in real-time.
