itel Flip One keypad flip phone teased ahead of India launch

itel has announced its entry into the feature flip phone market with the launch of its first Flip Keypad phone, the Flip One.

This device features a sleek flip-open design with a premium leather back, enhancing its sophistication and providing a premium feel, as stated by the company.

The Flip One is designed for easy one-handed use, offering a lightweight and portable option. Itel emphasized that this phone is aimed at Gen Z and millennials seeking a break from smartphones, while still providing essential features such as internet access, texting, calling, and a camera.

Key features of the Flip One include Bluetooth support, Type-C charging, and a Bluetooth caller function, which allows users to sync smartphone contacts and manage calls directly from the feature phone. The device also boasts a non-removable battery, a glass-designed keypad, and support for 13 Indian languages. It will be available in three colors.

itel highlighted that the Flip One is designed for both keypad enthusiasts and smartphone users, offering versatility as a secondary device. The company aims to strengthen its position in the feature phone market, supported by a 90% brand loyalty.

Availability

The Flip One is set to launch in September 2024. Pricing and further details will be announced at the launch event.
