Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 announced: 10% faster CPU, 30% faster GPU


Qualcomm has silently announced the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC in the Snapdragon 6 series, after introducing the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 in June.

The Kryo CPU promises 10% improved CPU performance, the Adreno GPU promises over 30% better performance and the Hexagon NPU promises 20% better AI performance from the Qualcomm AI Engine compared to the predecessor Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 from 2022. The company has skipped the Snapdragon 6 Gen 2.

It still has triple 12-bit ISPs and Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 offering 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6E) and Bluetooth 5.2 with dual antennas and NFC.

Availability

Qualcomm has not officially revealed any details about the availability of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, but we can expect it to power devices starting from Q4 2024.
