Samsung announced the rollout of One UI 6.1.1 to its flagship models. This update will bring the latest Galaxy AI features found on Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 models to previous models.
Samsung One UI 6.1.1 Galaxy AI Features
The new AI features include communication tools like Interpreter and Composer, productivity enhancements such as Note Assist and PDF Overlay Translation, and camera capabilities like Portrait Studio and Instant Slow-mo. The complete list of features is as follows:
- Interpreter – Lets users communicate with someone in another language. It offers Listening Mode which will now be available on all expanded devices, and one-way translation.
- Chat Assist – This lets users easily draft emails, social media posts, and more using Composer capability.
- Suggested replies – Available for Galaxy S24 series devices quick replies from the watch when connected to Galaxy Watch7 or Galaxy Watch Ultra.
- Note Assist – It enables translation and note summaries, while the newly added transcript feature can quickly create notes based on voice recordings.
- PDF Overlay Translation – It helps users translate and overlay text in PDF files or even translate text in images and graphs.
- Sketch to Image – It helps enhance photos by generating a selection of image options that perfectly complement the original image based on simple sketches.
- Circle to Search and Sound Search – Simply circle things on the screen for an instant Google search. Now, it also offers step-by-step instructions for solving complex math problems with the new Sound Search.
- Portrait Studio – This lets users create portraits in a variety of styles such as 3D cartoon or watercolor.
- Instant Slow-mo – This can slow a video down while maintaining smooth image quality instantly.
Availability
The One UI 6.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will begin rolling out in Korea starting today, September 5, followed by North America and Europe on September 9.
Software updates for additional Galaxy devices including the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series will be available in the coming weeks gradually.
