Alongside the iPhone 16 series, Apple announced the Watch Series 10, the latest iteration of its smartwatch lineup. Available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, the watches feature a sleeker and thinner profile. The Apple Watch Series 10 is nearly 10 percent thinner compared to older models, has slimmer bezels, and a lighter body, and comes in aluminum and titanium finishes.
Thanks to slimmer bezels, users can enjoy a more active screen area, which now uses an LTPO3 wide-angle AMOLED display offering up to 2000 nits brightness and more power efficiency. The Watch Series 10 boasts S10 SiP and a built-in 4-core Neural Engine for intelligent features like on-device Siri, and fall detection and is powered by WatchOS 11.
Apple is adding the ability to detect sleep apnea using the watch’s accelerometer to monitor small movements at the wrist that are associated with interruptions in normal respiratory patterns, tracked by a new Apple Watch metric called Breathing Disturbances.
Apple Watch Series 10 has an improved built-in speaker. It can now be used to listen to songs and podcasts. It also uses a new voice isolation neural network running on the 4-core Neural Engine to suppress background noise during phone or FaceTime audio calls.
Apple promises up to 18 hours of battery life and has introduced fast charging, where just 15 minutes of charging can provide up to 8 hours of normal use.
