PLI 2.0: Dixon’s subsidiary Padget to make ASUS Notebooks


Dixon Technologies India Limited (Dixon), a leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, has announced a partnership with ASUS.

The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to manufacture ASUS notebooks in India under Dixon’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Padget Electronics.

Recently, Dixon announced a partnership with HP India to manufacture notebooks, desktops, and All-in-One PCs locally at its Chennai facility capable of producing 20 lakh units/year by 2025 and create many job opportunities. Lenovo and Acer have already announced a similar partnership to make PCs locally.

The partnership, subject to the execution of definitive agreements, will significantly boost Dixon’s manufacturing capabilities and strengthen ASUS’s presence in the Indian market. It will also contribute to the Government’s ambitious “Make in India” program.
