Flipkart has officially announced the dates for its much-anticipated annual sale event, The Big Billion Days (TBBD) 2024. The 11th edition of TBBD is set to begin on September 27, 2024, offering customers across India access to a wide range of products and deals.
New Fulfillment Centers and Job Creation
In preparation for the increased demand during the festive season, Flipkart has opened 11 new fulfillment centers (FCs) in nine cities, bringing the total to 83 FCs across the country.
This expansion has led to the creation of over 1 lakh new jobs across India, highlighting Flipkart’s focus on supporting local communities and generating employment opportunities.
In addition, Flipkart also launched the Big Sale of Small Things on September 15, allowing marketplace sellers to capitalize on festive season growth opportunities.

TBBD 2024 will introduce new tech innovations to elevate the shopping experience:
- Video Commerce: Customers can expect engaging live commerce sessions where brands showcase exclusive offers.
- Flippi 2.0: A GenAI-powered chat assistant to help customers find answers to common questions like “What’s the best deal for my budget?”
- Immersive Shopping: Features like 3D product explainer videos and virtual try-on options for watches will help users make informed decisions.
- Gamified Engagement: Flipkart’s FireDrops platform will enable customers to earn SuperCoins by completing simple tasks through Flipkart UPI.

This year, Flipkart is expanding its seller network, offering 20% higher seller rewards and introducing new customer constructs to drive growth.
The ‘Big Sale of Small Things,’ launched on September 15, 2024, has provided sellers with an early start to leverage the festive shopping season.
Ahead of TBBD, 4,500 sellers participated in seller conclaves across India. Additionally, Flipkart Samarth marked five years of supporting small businesses, impacting 1.8 million livelihoods and preserving over 100 traditional art forms.

Flipkart is prepared to meet festive demand with over 2 lakh SKUs available for same-day delivery across 20+ cities. Improved product quality guardrails and enhanced logistical capabilities ensure timely and reliable deliveries.

Flipkart has partnered with HDFC Bank to offer 10% discounts on debit and credit cards, as well as EMI transactions.
- Additionally, the Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card offers 5% unlimited cashback.
- Customers can also benefit from No Cost EMIs and instant credit with Flipkart Pay Later, along with daily cashback and SuperCoins on Flipkart UPI transactions.
Exclusive Offers for Plus and VIP Members
Plus and VIP members also have the chance to win up to Rs. 10,000 by having their cart value refunded for purchases made during the early access period. VIP members will receive exclusive offers from top brands and additional deals through SuperCoin redemption.

The Big Billion Days 2024 will be available to all customers starting from September 27, 2024, and will run until October 6, 2024, with VIP and Flipkart Plus customers getting early access starting on September 26, 2024.
