OPPO Find X8 with Dimensity 9400 surfaces in benchmarks

MediaTek is gearing up to introduce the Dimensity 9400, the company’s flagship SoC, as the successor to Dimensity 9300 in October. Earlier rumours revealed that vivo X200 series will be the first to be powered by the chip, with OPPO Find X8 series to follow.

Now the OPPO Find X8 with Dimensity 9400 has surfaced in Geekbench listing, revealing single-core Geekbench score of 2876 and multi-core score of 8987.

This is less than the 3216 single-core and 10051 multi-core scores in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in the OnePlus 13. This also reveals 16GB of RAM and Android 15 OS for the phone. The vivo X200 with the model number vivo V2419A surfaced in benchmarks recently, revealing 1531 single-core and 6168 multi-core scores. Compared to this, the Find X8 has better scores.

Dimensity 9400 chip is expected to use TSMC’s second-generation N3 process with 1 x Cortex-X5 with 3.4GHz, 3x Cortex-X4 at 3.3GHz and 4 x Cortex-A720 cores at 2.4GHz. Earlier rumours said that the 9400 will offer 40% better performance compared to Dimensity 9300 which offers 48 TOPS.

MediaTek CEO already said that the average selling price (ASP) of the Dimensity 9400 chip will be higher than the previous generation, and it will actively explore the international market.

Launch date?

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the Dimensity 9400 will be introduced on October 9, and the new vivo X200 series powered by the chip will be introduced on October 14.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be introduced a week later, on October 21 with the first device, the Xiaomi 15 series expected to be unveiled soon after in October.
