HUAWEI has introduced MatePad Pro 12.2″ and MatePad 12 X (MatePad Air 2024) for the global markets, after these were introduced in China last month.
The MatePad Pro 12.2-inch features Tandem OLED PaperMatte display with up to 2,000 nits brightness and features an anti-sparkle and nanoscale anti-glare tech that protects your eyes with a paper-like visual experience. It has SGS Low Visual Fatigue 2.0 Premium Performance Certification, TÜV Rheinland Reflection-Free Certifications, and TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 3.0 Certification, so it doesn’t cause much eye strain, according to the company.
The MatePad Pro comes with HUAWEI Glide Keyboard, which features a 2-in-1 stylus, which can be charged on the keyboard. There are digital creation tools such as GoPaint app with splatter brushes that allow you to create an ink splatter. 8K ultra-large canvas is supported by the FangTian Painting Engine 2.0.
The tablet packs a 10,100mAh battery offering 100% charge in 55 minutes with the 100W SuperCharge fast charging. In Power Conserve mode, the tablet offers standby for up to 380 days, says the company.

The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X is a cheaper model with 144Hz LCD PaperMatte display ideal for reading, writing. It features a Shimmery Pearlescent Sheen design for a metallic white that changes colors depending on the lighting. It has a metal body.

The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2-inch comes in Premium Gold and Black colours and is priced at 849.99 Euros (USD 948 / Rs. 79,295 approx.) / 699.99 GBP for 256GB and 999.99 Euros (USD 1,115 / Rs. 93,275approx.) / 799.99 GBP for the 512GB version.
The HUAWEI MatePad 12 X PaperMatte Edition comes in White, Greenery and Sakura Pink colours and is priced at 649.99 Euros (USD 725 / Rs. 60,635 approx.) / 549.99 GBP for the 12GB + 256GB version.
The tablets will be available in several markets globally including UK and Europe from today, September 19, 2024.
