On Tuesday at HP Imagine 2024, HP unveiled its latest innovations, including AI-powered PCs, video conferencing tools, and a scalable GPU performance sharing solution aimed at revolutionizing the future of work.
HP OmniBook Ultra Flip 14″ 2-in-1 AI PC (14t-fh000)
HP’s first 2-in-1 AI-powered PC features a 2.8K OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz variable refresh rate and IMAX support. It delivers sharp visuals with Low Blue Light, HDR 500 nits, and a 90% screen-to-body ratio.
Weighing 2.97 lbs and 0.59 inches thick, it’s powered by Intel’s 200V Core Ultra processors with an AI engine delivering up to 48 TOPS. Storage starts at 512GB, upgradeable to 1TB or 2TB, with RAM options of 16GB or 32GB. The battery lasts up to 20 hours and fast-charges to 50% in 45 minutes. Processor choices range from Ultra 5 226V to Ultra 9 288V.
The 9MP IR AI camera includes low-light adjustments, Auto Switch HDR, and temporal noise reduction. AI features support hand gestures for scrolling, media control, and volume adjustments, with auto-locking when the user steps away and waking upon return.
It also includes quad speakers with DTS Ultra, HP Audio Boost, and Poly Studio for enhanced sound. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and an optional USB-C Rechargeable Tilt Pen. Ports consist of 2x Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB Type-C, and a headphone/microphone combo. HP Wolf Security provides advanced protection with a self-healing core.
Running on Windows 11 Home, the OmniBook will receive Microsoft Copilot+ updates in November, adding AI features like image generation, live captions, and Windows Studio effects. Built sustainably, it contains 85% recycled metals and 50% post-consumer recycled plastics, earning EPEAT Gold and ENERGY STAR certification.

HP EliteBook X G1a 14″ AI PC
HP also introduced the EliteBook X G1a with two display options: a WUXGA IPS panel (1,920 x 1,200) or a 2.8K OLED display (2,880 x 1,800) with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both offer 400 nits of brightness, with the OLED covering the DCI P3 color gamut.
Powered by AMD Ryzen PRO processors (Ryzen AI 300), the EliteBook delivers up to 55 TOPS of NPU performance. It supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 2TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. The laptop includes HDMI, USB-A, and three USB-C ports (two with Thunderbolt 4), weighs 1.49 kg, and houses a 74.5Wh battery in an 18.1mm frame.
The EliteBook features Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 5MP IR camera enhanced by HP’s Poly Camera Pro app for AI-driven improvements. It includes an HP AI assistant for data management using a local language model.
Security features include HP’s Endpoint Security Controller and AI-powered onlooker detection for privacy protection. As part of HP’s sustainable line, it incorporates a heat plate made from 50% recycled copper and bezels containing 20% recycled cooking oil.
