Xiaomi today introduced the Redmi Buds 6 TWS earbuds in China alongside the Redmi Note 14 Pro series.
The Redmi Buds 6 comes with a Dual-unit acoustic architecture, featuring a 12.4mm large titanium-plated diaphragm unit and a 5.5mm micro-piezoelectric ceramic unit, designed to deliver rich, detailed sound. Powered by Bluetooth v5.4, it offers four built-in EQ sound effects and is certified by NetEase Cloud Audio.
These earbuds also support a personalized Sound ID function and 360° surround spatial stereo sound effects. The noise cancellation system provides up to 49dB noise reduction, blocking 99.6% of ambient noise.
Additionally, a dual-microphone AI reduces wind noise up to 9m/s. The earbuds can even adapt noise cancellation to the ear canal structure and wear conditions, supporting single-ear noise reduction as well.
The Redmi Buds 6 includes multiple modes for different listening environments, such as Depth, Balance, and Light modes, as well as three transparency modes: standard, vocal enhancement, and environmental enhancement.
The charging case has been upgraded with a “Cloud Crevice Lighting Effect 2.0,” which allows users to check the battery status without connecting to a mobile device. The power status is displayed with a bar system:
- Below 25%: 1 bar flashes.
- 25%-50%: 2 bars are on.
- 50%-75%: 3 bars are on.
- Above 75%: 4 bars are lit.
In terms of design, Xiaomi optimized the earbuds for a comfortable, ergonomic fit with a sleek, metallic-textured appearance. The earbuds are IP54 rated, offering protection against dust and water.
Battery life lasts up to 10 hours on a single charge, and up to 42 hours in total with the charging case. The fast charging feature (via USB-C) provides 4 hours of music playtime with just 10 minutes of charging.
Other features include HyperOS for seamless device switching, dual-device connection, quick connect, one-click photo capture, audio sharing, and customization options through the Xiaomi Headphones app.
