Samsung Electronics on Thursday introduced the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S10+, its first tablets designed with AI capabilities, alongside the Galaxy S24 FE.
Galaxy Tab S10 Series
The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra features a 14.6-inch display, while the S10+ offers a 12.4-inch screen, both utilizing Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology for clear, vibrant visuals. Advanced anti-reflective technology reduces glare, ensuring visibility even outdoors.
The quad speakers, enhanced by AI-driven Dialogue Boost, improve audio clarity by amplifying speech and minimizing background noise. Built with Armor Aluminum and IP68-rated durability, both tablets are designed to withstand everyday wear.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra offers an 18% boost in CPU, 28% in GPU, and 14% in NPU performance compared to the Tab S9 Ultra. The Ultra features an 11,200mAh battery, while the S10+ has a 10,090mAh battery, both supporting 45W fast charging.
Memory options include up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, expandable up to 1.5TB via microSD. Connectivity options include pSIM + eSIM, 5G, Wi-Fi 7 / Wi-Fi 6E (Tab S10+), Bluetooth 5.3, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Productivity and Creativity Tools
With the Galaxy Tab S10 series, Samsung focuses on enhancing productivity and creativity:
- Note Assist simplifies note-taking with the S Pen and large display, converting handwriting into neat text and providing automatic summaries.
- PDF Overlay Translation allows users to translate PDFs without leaving the document.
- Sketch to Image transforms simple sketches into images, helping users bring creative ideas to life.
- Circle to Search with Google enables users to circle text or images for instant web searches or translations, even across videos and images, without switching apps.
- Air Command with AI provides quick access to Galaxy AI Assistant features, allowing users to choose between Bixby or Google’s Gemini assistant.
The Galaxy Tab S10 series also acts as a home AI hub, simplifying device control with SmartThings integration. Features like 3D Map View and AI Energy Mode help users monitor and manage their SmartThings-enabled devices efficiently.
Third-Party App Support and Privacy
The Galaxy Tab S10 series supports a wide range of third-party apps, including Goodnotes, LumaFusion, Noteshelf 3, Clip Studio Paint, Picsart, and Sketchbook, enhancing both creativity and productivity. Advanced privacy controls allow users to disable online data processing, while Samsung Knox offers real-time data protection.
Both models feature a 13MP + 8MP Ultra Wide rear camera and a 12MP Ultra Wide front camera, with the Ultra model adding an extra 12MP rear camera. The tablets come with an IP68-rated S Pen and run on Android 14.
