Vodafone Idea bolsters network security with Nokia NetGuard EDR

Vodafone Idea, has chosen Nokia‘s NetGuard Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution to enhance its network security. The move aims to protect both consumer and enterprise customers from escalating cyber threats.

Designed specifically for telcos, NetGuard EDR offers real-time, automated monitoring, enabling rapid detection and mitigation of endpoint-related security incidents.

This will help Vodafone Idea minimize security vulnerabilities, reduce the need for extensive testing, and optimize operational costs, all while ensuring uninterrupted service availability and performance across its operational technology (OT) network.

NetGuard EDR’s vendor-agnostic nature allows for seamless integration with Vodafone Idea’s existing security infrastructure, strengthening the operator’s overall network security posture. This deployment is a key step towards establishing a world-class Security Operations Center.

The initial focus will be on securing Vodafone Idea’s 4G networks, with plans to extend protection to its 5G network in the future.
