Lava just launched the Agni3 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone in the Agni series, as the successor to last year’s Agni 2 5G. The phone has a 6.78″ 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone has a secondary AMOLED rear screen that the company calls Instascreen. This lets you receive calls, see notifications, use the rear camera to shoot selfies, and use several useful day-to-day apps like Music Player, Steps & Calorie tracker, Voice Recorder, Timer, Stopwatch & Weather, making it the first in the segment with dual screens. When not in use, it shows animated character firey.

The phone also has Action Key, which the company says is the first in the segment. This offers single click, double click or long press to seamlessly switch between functions and apps like flashlight and recorder.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X SoC, which is designed for dual-screen phones. The phone also has a 5000mm² copper-plated 9-layer Vapour Chamber cooling and X-Axis Linear Motor Haptics. It has a glass back, and features a 50MP rear camera with Sony sensor with OIS, secondary 8MP ultra-wide camera and a tertiary 8MP 3X telephoto camera.

The phone has 8GB of RAM + 8GB of virtual RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage options. The phone runs Android 14 without any bloatware, and the company has confirmed 3 Android updates and 4 years of security updates for the phone. It packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. However, it doesn’t come with a charger in the box for the base model.
