Mumbai Metro Line 3: Vi deploys network on BKC-Aarey stretch

On October 5, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) to Aarey JVLR section of Mumbai Metro Line 3, Phase – 1. To ensure seamless connectivity for commuters on this new route, Vi has announced that it has successfully deployed its network across the entire 12.44-kilometer underground stretch.

Vi’s network infrastructure now covers all 10 stations on the route, including Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Vidya Nagari, Santacruz, Domestic Airport, Sahar Road, International Airport, Marol Naka, MIDC, SEEPZ, and Aarey Colony. To guarantee uninterrupted connectivity within the underground tunnels, Vi has installed in-building solutions (IBS).

Vi said that its customers can now stay connected, access essential information, and enjoy uninterrupted entertainment throughout their journey on Phase 1 of Mumbai Metro Line 3.
