vivo X200 Pro and X200 mini: Camera and design teased

After teasers, vivo’s vice president Jia Jingdong has revealed the design of the vivo X200 series phones, which will include the vivo X200 Pro and the vivo X200 Pro mini, in addition to X200, which will feature ZEISS optics, similar to the X100 series.

Design

The smaller X200 Pro mini will feature micro-quadruple design and the small straight screen design with narrow borders and small smooth corners will offer a familiar feel to users who switch phones.

The Zeiss Master Color Screen and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming of the X200 provide a display effect and eye protection experience close to the iPhone retina screen.

Camera

The X200 Pro series will feature upgraded the “telephoto portrait”, adding a new 135mm focal length to the “five major humanistic focal lengths” of the X100 series, namely 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm. The X200 series also adds “telephoto macro”, which is intended to make lens switching more casual.

The X200 series also brings 4K 120fps movie slow motion, full-focus 10bit log, 4K backlit movie portrait video, which the company claims to offer the industry’s strongest exposure control technology. It can still maintain the clarity and details of the subject under strong light, and create an artistic portrait effect in backlight, said Jia.

The entire line-up now features V3+ chip. The X200 Pro uses an exclusive 200MP f/2.67 85mm periscope camera. Both the phones feature vivo x Sony LYT-818 1/1.28″ main camera with f/2.57 aperture, and the mini has a 70mm periscope camera.

He has also shared 1x and 20x samples of Mount Everest and has also posted telemacro shot from X200 as well as ultra-wide shot from X200 Pro mini.

Performance

The vivo X200 Pro series will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC which will be introduced later this week. “vivo focuses on the full-link technology closed loop of SoC from definition, design to R&D adjustment, realizes the underlying software and hardware integration design, injects the vivo soul into the chip, and also brings users a better performance experience,” said the vivo VP.

OriginOS 5 that powers the X200 series offers LLM that can reach 3 billion parameters, which is enough to conveniently handle most daily AI tasks on the end side of the mobile phone, and maintain independence and privacy, he added. The OriginOS 5 will be introduced at the VDC on October 10th.

Battery

The silicon content of the X200 series battery has been upgraded to 5%, achieving the highest energy density in the history of the industry. While the battery capacity has been greatly improved compared to the previous generation, the battery will be even thinner than the previous generation. vivo’s semi-solid low-temperature battery life technology is even more outstanding, and it can be used normally for a long time at a low temperature of minus 20 degrees.

Launch date

vivo has already confirmed that the X200 series will be introduced at an event in China on October 14th.
