Today, vivo unveiled OriginOS 5, powered by Android 15, during its developer conference for the Chinese market. This update follows the recent launch of Funtouch OS 15 for vivo and iQOO devices in India last month.

OriginOS 5 is introduced with the slogan “Natural, smooth, super AI.” The new OS showcases improved dynamic effects, enhanced fluency, depth-of-field wallpapers, customizable lock screen widgets, and a centered interface reminiscent of Dynamic Island. It emphasizes deeper AI integration throughout the system.

- Blue Heart Little V Assistant: The upgraded Little V assistant provides a “system-level” and “scenario-based” experience, utilizing a self-developed large language model. Users can activate Little V through voice commands or a long-press at the bottom of the phone to access a search box. - Atomic Island Function: Improved intention recognition allows quick access to real-time activities and content suggestions when specific content is copied.
