Sonos Arc Ultra Dolby Atmos soundbar and Sonos Sub 4 wireless subwoofer announced

Sonos on Thursday introduced the Sonos Arc Ultra, a premium soundbar featuring innovative Sound Motion technology. Additionally, they launched the Sonos Sub 4, the latest version of their well-known subwoofer, which includes design updates and improved internal components for enhanced audio quality.

Sonos Arc Ultra

The Arc Ultra delivers double the bass of its predecessor and features a 9.1.4 spatial audio experience with Dolby Atmos in a sleek design. It incorporates advanced technology and 14 Sonos-engineered drivers, including a Sound Motion woofer, to accurately position sound within a space.

The soundbar also includes an advanced Speech Enhancement feature for improved dialogue clarity and boasts a unique curved design that complements large TVs without obstruction.

Its wrap-around grille allows sound to radiate in all directions while maximizing vocal clarity through a new center channel architecture, enabling users to adjust dialogue settings via the Sonos app.

Setting up the Arc Ultra is straightforward, requiring only an HDMI eARC connection. It can be controlled using a TV remote, the Sonos app, Sonos Voice Control, or Amazon Alexa. Discreet touch controls are located behind the soundbar to minimize visual clutter, and it includes Bluetooth line-in for additional streaming options.

The design emphasizes sustainability, featuring enhanced serviceability, recyclable packaging, and a reduction in idle power consumption by up to 20% compared to the original Arc.
