Sensorise launches India’s first M2M remote SIM provisioning platform at IMC 2024

Sensorise has launched India’s first M2M Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP) platform for consumer SIMs, allowing users to manage eSIM profiles without changing physical SIM cards. The platform was introduced by Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), at the Indian Mobile Congress 2024.

The first to utilize this platform is VoyX, a global travel eSIM solution that offers connectivity in over 140 countries. It is tailored for frequent travelers, students, and professionals, providing flexible Local, Regional, and Global data packs while eliminating the need for physical SIM cards.

Built on the GSMA consumer architecture SGP.22, the SenseProM platform features a secure infrastructure with the SM-DP+ component. This allows users to easily download, activate, and switch between mobile network operators, giving them complete control over their connectivity.

Key features of the SM-DP+ component include:
  • Secure Transmission: Utilizes cryptographic techniques to ensure secure transmission and storage of sensitive information, protecting data integrity and connections between eSIMs and mobile networks.
  • Profile Management: Oversees consumer profile data preparation and security, reducing data leakage risks.
  • Subscription Oversight: Manages subscription data to ensure eSIM devices receive the right profiles for uninterrupted connectivity.
  • Lifecycle Management: Tracks the entire lifecycle of profiles, from creation and deletion to real-time usage monitoring.

This announcement emphasizes Sensorise’s commitment to advancing mobile technology, contributing to a future where global connectivity is seamless, secure, and user-friendly. As the telecom landscape evolves, innovations like SenseProM will be vital for individuals and businesses to stay connected across borders effortlessly.

Speaking at the event, Karn Nagpal, President of Rosmerta Technologies, stated,

The introduction of SenseProM at the Indian Mobile Congress 2024 represents a significant advancement in mobile connectivity, ensuring our products meet industry standards and align with customer needs.

We extend our gratitude to Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications, for launching this platform, marking a pivotal moment for the industry.

Following the certification of this new product, we aim to collaborate with Indian handset manufacturers to enable eSIM features. Our goal is to expand our offerings in the consumer segment, just as we have successfully done in the M2M space.

Speaking about the initiative, Ms. Vijaya Vivek Kamath, CEO of Sensorise, stated,

SenseProM supports our efforts in the export segment by facilitating interoperability with international telcos. Our initial launch focuses on the consumer market, followed by our M2M RSP.

This platform is designed to enhance flexibility and user control, addressing the evolving needs of consumers while adhering to the highest industry standards. We are confident that SenseProM will contribute significantly to our business growth in both India and abroad.
