Samsung has launched the Galaxy A16 5G, the company’s latest smartphone in the A series in India, after it was introduced in Europe last week. Compared to Exynos 1330 SoC in those markets, the Indian version is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC.
Other specifications are similar, including a 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz Super AMOLED display with a notch, 50MP main + 5MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro camera and a 13MP front camera and a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging support, and the charger is sold separately. There is also IP54 ratings.
It runs Android 14 with One UI 6 on top, and it is the first mid-range Samsung phone to get 6 OS updates and 6 years of security updates, till October 31, 2030.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G comes in Blue Black, Gold and Light Green colours and is priced at Rs. 18,999 for the 8GB+ 128GB model and the 8GB + 256GB model costs Rs. 21,999.
It will be available across retail stores, Samsung.com, and online platforms including Amazon.in and Flipkart.com, starting today.
