After revealing the design, Xiaomi has confirmed the battery capacity and teased the camera samples for the Xiaomi 15 Pro ahead of the announcement next week. The phone will feature a 5x periscope telephoto camera with 10x lossless zoom, and ceramic camera deco.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro will pack a huge, 6100mAh battery compared to 4880mAh battery in the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The Xiaomi 15 will get a 5400mAh battery, an increase of 790mAh compared to the previous generation, but the battery volume has hardly changed.
The energy density of the battery is 850Wh/L, which is Xiaomi’s highest level to date. The battery life of the standard version has been increased by 23%, and the Pro version has increased by 38%, said the company.
Xiaomi has also posted camera samples from the 15 Pro and said that it will feature a more powerful Leica optical high-speed lens system and
the more advanced Xiaomi AISP 2.0 large-scale computational photography platform.
This shows samples from the main camera with f/1.44 aperture and 35mm focal length, telephoto camera with f/2.0 aperture and 60mm focal length, and 5x periscope telephoto camera with f/2.5 aperture and 120mm focal length. Earlier rumours revealed that it will use a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor for the periscope telephoto camera, same as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
