Netflix adds ‘Moments’ feature to easily save and share favorite scenes

Netflix has introduced ‘Moments,’ a new mobile feature available globally starting today. This feature allows users to easily save, relive, and share their favorite scenes from Netflix shows and movies.

Netflix Moments

With Moments, Netflix users can capture iconic scenes to relive and share on social media. Netflix describes it as a way to “Save, Relive, and Share” favorite scenes, allowing users to instantly share moments with friends or across social platforms.

For example, if you’re rewatching the intense showdown in BEEF or a haunting twist in ‘Wednesday’, ‘Moments’ lets you capture those highlights. As Squid Game Season 2 debuts on December 26, this feature offers a timely way to revisit the suspenseful game sequences from Season 1.

How Moments Works

Using Moments is simple. For example, if you’re watching Bridgerton and want to save the scene where Colin and Penelope share their first kiss, just tap ‘Moments’ at the bottom of your screen.

The scene will be saved to your ‘My Netflix’ tab, allowing you to revisit it anytime. When rewatching the show, the episode will start playing from the exact scene you saved.

To share ‘Moments’ on social platforms like Instagram or Facebook, you can either share instantly as you create a Moment or go to ‘My Netflix,’ select a scene, and share it across platforms.

Netflix assures users that the number of Moments saved may depend on the length of the show or movie, but there’s generally ample space to save across multiple titles. According to Netflix spokesperson Dorian Rosenburg, most users won’t need to worry about storage limits, as he told The Verge.

Availability

The feature is available globally on iOS now, with Android support arriving in the coming weeks. Netflix also hinted at future updates to Moments that could bring even more options for users.
