HONOR today announced the release of the MR3 OTA update for the HONOR 200 series 5G smartphones in India. This update brings essential performance and security enhancements, including the October 2024 Google security patch, along with a new AI feature, Circle to Search.
Key Features of the MR3 Update
- Enhanced Performance and Security: The update improves device stability and addresses performance issues while incorporating the October 2024 Google security patch for strengthened cybersecurity.
- Circle to Search: This AI-driven feature boosts productivity by enabling users to circle any on-screen content—such as text or images—and instantly search for related information. To activate:
- Touch and hold the navigation bar or Home button to start circling.
- Alternatively, enable the navigation bar through Settings > System and updates > System navigation > Gestures > Settings > Show navigation bar.
- System Sound Recording and Resolution Options: Users can now record system audio during screen recordings, especially helpful for video and voice calls. The update also includes three screen recording resolutions: 480P, 720P, and 1080P. To adjust these settings:
- System Sound Recording: Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Screen recording > Record from system sound.
- Resolution: Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Screen recording > Video quality.

To access the latest software version:
- Go to Settings > System & updates > Software update.
- Tap Check for Updates.
