Xiaomi 15 Pro with 6.73″ 2K 120Hz LTPO OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite, Triple 50MP cameras, 6100mAh battery announced


Along with the Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi also introduced the top-end Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphone at an event in China. The phone features a 6.73-inch 2K M9 OLED LTPO screen with peak brightness of 3200 nits, 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, has support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It also offers, 1920Hz PWM dimming.

The phone has a one-piece aviation grade aluminum frame, one-piece ceramic Deco that is more rounded and a micro-curved screen that wraps around the middle frame.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and has wing-shaped cold pump cooling system Vapor-liquid separation design, with a heat dissipation area of ​​up to 4053mm².

It has Xiaomi Surge T1S signal enhancement chip that greatly enhances the communication experience. There is Xiaomi Xingchen networkless communication, the industry’s first support for 3.5km networkless two-way calls offering global support, covering 200+ countries and regions, said the company.

The phone has triple rear cameras with a 50MP 1/1.31″ 1.2μm large sensor, f/1.62 aperture, 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 5X telephoto camera, all with Leica Summilux lens and uses Xiaomi AISP 2.0 computational photography platform. It finally gets an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

It has a 6100mAh battery with an ultra-high energy density of 850Wh/L. The phone has 90W wired charging, and supports for 50W wireless and magnetic wireless charging.

Pricing and availability

The Xiaomi 15 Pro comes in Rock ash, White, Spruce Green and Bright Silver colours and is priced at 5299 yuan (USD 742 / Rs. 62,410 approx.) for the 12GB + 256GB version, 5799 yuan (USD 812 / Rs. 68,300 approx.) for the 16GB + 512GB version and the top-end 16GB + 1TB version costs 6499 yuan (USD 910 / Rs. 76,515 approx.). The bright silver version is 200 yuan more.

The phone is now available to order in China and will go on sale from October 31st.
