After unveiling the prototype back in July, Xiaomi today introduced the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra as the fastest four-door production car worldwide at 350 km/h. It can do 0-100 km/h takes just 1.98 seconds (Without one-foot rollout).
It also accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in just 5.86 seconds and achieves 100 km/h braking at a distance of 30.8m to a complete stop, said the company.
The SU7 Ultra features a large front splitter and air dam paired with “U-shaped” air blades, effectively boosting front downforce. The intake grille has been expanded, increasing cooling area by 10%, said the company.
At the rear, an active rear diffuser with two adaptive settings balances drag and downforce, ensuring low energy consumption in regular driving. A fixed carbon-fiber rear wing has been added, with a wingspan of 1560mm and a chord length of 240mm, providing significant downforce at high speeds.
With the advanced aerodynamic design, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra achieves a maximum downforce of 285kg, comparable to supercar-level performance, said Xiaomi. It took just 6 minutes 46 seconds 874 milliseconds to finish a lap in the Nürburgring racetrack, making it the fastest four-door car in the world.
It features new sports seats with enhanced active side bolster support, providing faster response and a wider support area for better body stability during intense driving. The steering wheel has a new racing-style flat top and bottom design, made with upgraded carbon fiber and wrapped in Alcantara microfiber fabric for a secure grip.
A yellow center marker at the 12 o’clock position aids directional control during high-speed maneuvers. Paired with yellow seatbelts and a red Boost button on the steering wheel, Xiaomi SU7 Ultra interior is packed with a racing spirit.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra’s triple motor system implements two V8s motors and one V6s motor. This marks the debut of Xiaomi’s self-developed V8s super motor to production vehicles. The V8s motor reaches a maximum rev of 27,200 rpm, currently the highest and most powerful production main drive motor.
New visual and auditory experience
The UI on the central control screen, instrument panel, and HUD have been upgraded, featuring a cockpit-exclusive design that enhances the sporty atmosphere. Xiaomi SU7 Ultra offers three new Electric Sport Sound profiles: Ultra Electric, Ultra Sonic, and Ultra Pulse, along with a 40W external speaker for enhanced sound projection.
The car has CATL’s Qilin 2.0 high-power battery, capable of a 1330 kW output and discharging 880 kW of power even at 20% SoC. The Qilin battery uses iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry and supports 897V charging, enabling a full recharge in under 12 minutes. It promises up to 630KM CLTC range on a single charge.
Pricing and availability
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is now available for pre-order in China at a re-sale price of 814,900 yuan (USD 1,14,222 / Rs. 96,00,450 approx.). It will be officially released in March 2025.
