MacBook Air M2 and M3 get 16GB memory without price increase


Along with the new M4 MacBook Pro models, Apple also announced that it is upgrading the MacBook Air M2 and M3 with double the starting memory to 16GB, and the 16GB memory option gets upgraded to 24GB at no extra cost.

There is no other change in the MacBook Air expect for the memory since the M3 model was introduced only in March this year. The MacBook Air with M4 chip is rumoured to be introduced in Q1 2025.

Pricing and availability

MacBook Air 13″ (M2 Chip):
  • 16GB + 256GB – Rs. 99900 ($999 in the US)
MacBook Air 13″ (M3 Chip):
  • 16GB + 256GB – Rs. 1,14,900 ($1,099 in the US)
  • 16GB + 512GB – Rs. 1,34,900 ($1,299 in the US)
  • 24GB + 512GB  – Rs. 1,54,900 ($1,499 in the US)
MacBook Air 15″ (M3 Chip):
  • 16GB + 256GB – Rs. 1,34,900 ($1,299 in the US)
  • 16GB + 512GB –  Rs. 1,54,900 ($1,499 in the US)
  • 24GB + 512GB – Rs. 1,74,900 ($1,699 in the US)

The MacBook Air with upgraded memory is already on sale on apple.com/in/store and in the Apple Store app, and should also be available at Apple Store locations and Apple Authorised Resellers.
