RedMagic 10 Pro+: 6.85″ 1.5K 144Hz BOE OLED display with ultra-narrow bezels confirmed

After confirming the 1.5K BOE true full-screen display with ultra-high screen-to-body ratio for the Redmagic 10 Pro series, the company has confirmed the specifications of the display officially.

The RedMagic 10 Pro+ will be a true full-screen mobile phone with a 6.85-inch (2688×1216 pixels) BOE no punch-hole OLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 2000 nit, and 2592Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

This will feature industry’s narrowest black border + frame at just 1.25mm and middle frame wall thickness of just 0.7mm, so the bezels measure just 1.95mm. The company already confirmed that the phone will feature a screen-to-body ratio of 95.3%.

RedMagic China GM James said that the ultimate full-screen display technology by the RedMagic product expert team has been developed over a period of 5 years.

After repeated calculations and careful polishing, we finally achieved the outstanding result that the physical ppi of the pixels in the main screen and FDC hole are completely consistent with the main screen, ensuring a high degree of uniformity in picture quality. Not only that, the external density of the pixel circuit in our FDC hole has reached the current limit of the full-screen technology. This series of efforts has jointly created the extraordinary achievement of 1.5K resolution full screen.

In order to achieve a higher refresh rate for the “Wukong Screen”, the company calibrated the main screen and the secondary screen separately, carefully completed 20 extreme mask processes, and introduced 13 innovative production processes, so that the screen refresh rate is increased to 144Hz.

This is not only due to the industry’s most advanced ultra-narrow border technology, but also the result of the super COP packaging process jointly developed by Red Magic and BOE. With the concerted cooperation of the R&D teams of both parties, the maximum value of the narrow screen border has been successfully narrowed to the amazing width today.

The company already confirmed that the smartphones will use the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Rumours revealed a whopping, 7050mAh battery with up to 100W fast charging support.
