Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim model number surfaces

Samsung reportedly aims to introduce a new fourth model to its upcoming Galaxy S25 series, which will be slimmer than the standard Galaxy S25 models, as shared in a recent report by Korean outlet ETNews.

The additional model, tentatively named the “Galaxy S25 Slim,” is expected to debut in Q2 2025, according to further confirmations from the SmartPrix team, who cited official information verifying this development.

Mysterious New Galaxy S25 Model revealed

Samsung’s standard Galaxy S25 line-up includes three core models: Galaxy S25 (model SM-S931), Galaxy S25+ (SM-S936), and Galaxy S25 Ultra (SM-S938).

However, the company is reportedly working on an additional Galaxy S25 model under the model number “SM-S937,” with the U.S. variant designated “SM-S937U,” which the GSMA IMEI database recently confirmed.

This slim model will reportedly mirror Apple’s upcoming “Slim” variant, reflecting Samsung’s history of offering thin versions of its devices. Currently, the device appears in the GSMA database only as “Galaxy” to avoid any unintentional leaks of its exact name.

Expected Launch Timeline

Samsung typically registers its smartphones in the GSMA IMEI database around six to seven months before their release to allow time for internal testing.

This new Galaxy S25 model is scheduled for launch in Q2 2025, suggesting it will arrive in April or May. Samsung’s Q2 release is set to compete with launches of the Google Pixel 9a and Apple’s iPhone SE 4.

Limited Details on Specifications

Specific technical details for the Galaxy S25 Slim remain unclear. As of now, only the model number confirms the device’s existence. More information on its features and specs will likely emerge as the official launch date approaches.
