Samsung W25 with 8″ foldable AMOLED display and W25 Flip announced

Samsung just introduced the W25 and W25 Flip, the company’s latest W series smartphones, at an event in China. The W25 is the Chinese variant of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which was introduced for the Korean market last month.

At 10.6mm thick, it is 1.5mm thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. When open, it is just 4.9mm, compared to 5.6mm in the Z Fold 6. This packs an 8-inch QXGA+ 20:18 aspect ratio, making it wider, and the outer display is also bigger at 6.5-inch with a wider 21:9 aspect ratio.

The camera has also seen an upgrade since this features a 200MP main camera compare to 50MP in the Z Fold6, while retaining the 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP 3x telephoto rear cameras. It still has a 4MP under screen front camera for the inner screen and a 10MP camera for the outer screen.

It retains Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy SoC, but has 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB storage, and still has IP48 ratings for dust and water resistance, enhanced Armor Aluminum and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and a 4400mAh battery.
