Xiaomi HyperOS 2 global rollout begins this November

Xiaomi has initiated the global rollout of HyperOS 2, the company’s latest UI built on top of Android 15 OS. Officially introduced last month, it features upgraded aesthetics, new animations, Xiaomi’s cross-device connectivity, and more.

For the global version of the HyperOS, Xiaomi highlights the following features:

  • Upgraded lock screen setup with personalized customization.
  • Dynamic Effects Across Screens: Users enjoy smooth transitions when interacting with notifications or navigating the interface.
  • 3D Real-Time Weather System: The new weather feature simulates real atmospheric conditions, enhancing user engagement.
  • Upgraded Xiaomi Interconnectivity: Home Screen+ 2.0 lets you use and pin apps seamlessly across devices, and playback transfer lets you effortlessly transfer music to a Xiaomi speaker; Call sync feature across devices
  • Link to Windows lets you link your Xiaomi device to a Windows PC
  • New animations that offer a smoother experience

Unlike the Chinese UI, which primarily focuses on HyperAI integration which has AI features such as AI writing tools, AI sound recognition, and AI art, the global variant lacks these capabilities.
