LG Electronics (LG) has introduced its new UltraGear OLED gaming monitor GX7 (model 27GX790A). This monitor features a 27-inch display with a QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440), offering a fast 0.03ms Gray-to-Gray (GTG) response time and a 480Hz refresh rate, making it the quickest QHD OLED monitor available.
Its compact design and 4-side virtually borderless screen enhance gaming immersion, while delivering exceptional picture quality and smooth performance. The monitor also comes with an ergonomic slim, flat L-shaped stand that offers a swivel range of -30 to 30 degrees, allowing for customizable positioning and a cleaner setup.
The 27GX790A uses LG’s WOLED technology (with Anti-Glare & Low Reflection (AGLR) coating), which employs a white OLED light source with color filters to produce vibrant, accurate colors and deep blacks. It boasts high contrast, superior motion clarity, and has earned both VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and the highest VESA ClearMR tier.
For a smoother gaming experience, the monitor is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, reducing screen tearing and flickering. LG’s AGLR coating also helps maintain visibility in brighter environments, making it easier to see on-screen details.
Equipped with DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1, the 27GX790A ensures compatibility with the latest gaming consoles, PCs, and next-generation GPUs expected to launch in early 2025. DisplayPort 2.1 offers 67% more bandwidth than DisplayPort 1.4, supporting higher resolutions and refresh rates.
Additionally, the monitor features a 4-pole headphone jack that supports DTS Headphone, providing three-dimensional audio for accurate sound positioning in games. Other connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1 port, and one USB 3.0 (1 upstream, 2 downstream) port.
