Samsung today announced that the One UI 6 Watch software update is rolling out, bringing new features to a wider range of Galaxy Watch devices. Starting today, this update introduces new tools to help users enhance their health tracking and improve fitness performance.
One UI 6 Watch Features
The One UI 6 Watch update delivers more personalized health insights for a comprehensive understanding of physical and mental well-being:
- Energy Score: A calculated score based on metrics such as sleep, activity, heart rate, and heart rate variability, offering an overall view of health.
- Sleep Tracking Enhancements: Advanced AI algorithms now provide a deeper analysis of sleep, including metrics like sleep movement, sleep latency, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
- Sleep Apnea Detection: The FDA-authorized De Novo feature now covers more Galaxy Watch devices, helping users detect potential signs of moderate to severe sleep apnea.
Fitness features have also been upgraded to support users in reaching their fitness goals:
- Race Mode: Tracks real-time performance during running or cycling, comparing it with past data to encourage improvement.
- Workout Routine: Offers personalized exercise plans by combining various activities, tailored to each user’s fitness goals.
Stylish and Functional Watch Faces
The update also introduces new, customizable watch faces, combining style with functionality. The Simple Digital face features a minimalist design, while the Ultra Info Board face allows users to access essential information at a glance without sacrificing style.
Seamless Connection with Galaxy Devices
One UI 6 Watch improves the integration between Galaxy Watches and other Galaxy devices. With AI-powered Suggested Replies, users can quickly respond to messages when paired with a compatible Galaxy smartphone. The new Double Pinch Gesture lets users control their smartphone directly from their wrist to answer calls, take photos, dismiss alarms, and more.
Availability
The One UI 6 Watch update is rolling out globally, starting today. It will initially be available for the Galaxy Watch6 series (Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic) and will gradually extend to older models, including:

- Galaxy Watch4
- Galaxy Watch4 Classic
