OPPO Find X8 Unboxing and First Impressions

OPPO launched the Find X8 smartphone in India this week. The Find series is making a come back to the India after 4 years. Even though this has the same Dimensity 9400 SoC as the Find X8 Pro, this is more compact, and there are changes in the screen and the camera specifications. Here we have the first impressions of the phone.

The Find X8 has a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with 120Hz variable refresh rate.  The screen is bright even in outdoors. You can see ultra-narrow 1.45mm bezels on all the sides.

Inside the punch-hole there is a 32-megapixel camera. The earpiece grill is on the top edge, which doubles up as a secondary speaker. The phone still has an optical fingerprint scanner.

The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC and has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. It runs Android 15-based ColorOS 15 on top, and the company has promised 4 OS updates and 6 years of security updates for the phone.

Coming to the button placements, the power button and the volume rockers are present on the right side. The alter slider is on the left. The dual SIM slot is present on the bottom along with the primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill. The secondary microphone is on the top, along with the IR blaster and speaker vents. The phone has a solid aluminium frame with a matte finish that offers a good grip.

The Find X8 has triple rear cameras without the camera bar, and the camera bump is less compared to the older Find series phones. It has a 50MP main camera, 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 50MP 3X periscope telephoto camera. Both the front and rear cameras support up to 4K 60 fps Dolby Vision recording. The phone has a matte glass finish on the back that doesn’t slip out of the hands easily. It has a 5630mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is good enough for all-day use, and has 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. It also has 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging support.

The OPPO Find X8 starts at Rs. 69,999 for the 12GB + 256GB mode and is now available for pre-order in India OPPO India online store, Flipkart and offline stores and will go on sale from December 3rd.
