Headphone Zone has launched the AK UW100MKII True Wireless Earbuds, developed in collaboration with Astell&Kern, the renowned audio brand. This release follows the recent launch of the Headphone Zone x Kiwi Ears Cadenza In-Ear Monitor.
The AK UW100MKII features a pentagon-to-circle design with light-reflecting surfaces that resemble starlight, accompanied by a sleek portable cradle. It is equipped with Balanced Armature drivers and a 32-bit AKM DAC, ensuring precise audio decoding for high-quality sound.
The full-range Knowles Balanced Armature driver, typically found in high-end IEM systems, ensures accurate and detailed audio reproduction, according to the company. The AK UW100MKII is powered by the Qualcomm QCC5141 chip and Bluetooth 5.2 for seamless connectivity, with True Wireless Stereo Plus technology reducing transmission delay by sending independent signals to each earbud.
It supports the aptX Adaptive codec, offering dynamic bit rate adjustment and 24-bit audio at 420 kbps for superior sound quality. The earbuds also feature Multi-Pairing and Multi-Point functionality, allowing users to easily switch between devices, and provide Passive Noise Isolation (PNI) for effective noise blocking.
With up to 9.5 hours of playback (29 hours with the charging case), wireless and fast charging via USB-C, and touch controls for music, calls, and volume, the AK UW100MKII offers convenience and ease. A triple tap on the left earbud activates the voice assistant, while Qualcomm’s cVc Generation 8.0 ensures clear call quality.
The AK TWS app allows users to customize settings, and Google’s Fast Pair Service enables quick pairing with Android devices. Additionally, the IPX4 rating makes the earbuds resistant to sweat and splashes.
