Samsung One UI 7 beta roll out finally begins

After rumours, Samsung has finally started rolling out One UI 7 beta update for its devices. This brings new AI features, simplified controls and a preview of scalable AI ecosystems of the future, said the company.

One UI 7 uses the power of AI to learn how you use your phone and adapt to your needs. It’s a personalized experience like never before, making every interaction feel natural and intuitive, says Samsung.

Enhanced AI Enables More Intuitive User Experiences

One UI 7 brings powerful AI enhancements. This lets you boost your writing with tools that summarize, check grammar, and format notes, all without leaving your current app. Plus, you get automatic call transcriptions in 20 languages, freeing you from manual note-taking.

Bold New Design for Greater Personalization and Control

One UI 7 introduces a redesigned lock screen experience featuring Now Bar, your hub for instant access to key information and AI features like Interpreter and Music.

This brings a cleaner aesthetic with a simplified home screen and redesigned widgets, giving you complete control over your mobile experience. One UI 7 is designed to be bold, intuitive, and personalized, says the company.

One UI 7 reimagines the camera experience with a redesigned UX. This offers a more intuitive layout for all camera modes, making it easier to find the features you need.

Pro and Pro Video modes have been streamlined for a cleaner look and feel, while a new zoom control in Pro Video mode allows for precise zoom adjustments.

Availability

The Samsung One UI 7 beta program has started for the Galaxy S24 series devices in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the U.S., from today, December 5th. Samsung said that the Galaxy S24 series users can apply to join the beta program via Samsung Members.

The One UI 7 stable update will be with upcoming Galaxy S series devices, featuring additional AI capabilities including enhanced on-device AI functions, starting from the first quarter of 2025, said Samsung, so should get it with the Galaxy S25 series in January. The update will gradually roll out to other Galaxy devices as well, said the company.
