HUAWEI has introduced the Mate X6, the company’s latest foldable smartphone for the global markets, after it was introduced in China last month.
The phone packs a 7.93-inch foldable screen with a peak brightness of 1800nit, and the outer 6.45-inch has a peak brightness of 2500 nits, both with 1-120Hz LTPO OLD panel with 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. It comes with 2nd Generation Kunlun Glass, which protects the exterior screen, and there is a carbon fibre inner screen plate that adds strength to the interior display.
The phone features an advanced multi-dimensional hinge and a robust aviation-grade aluminium middle frame. The Kunlun Glass offers 25 times better drop resistance, said the company.
The Mate X6 has a 50MP variable aperture camera with a ten-size adjustable physical aperture, ranging from F1.0 to F4.0. The camera also incorporates the Ultra Chroma technology, which uses 1.50 million spectral channels to boost colour accuracy by 120%.
According to reports, the phone still runs forked Android AOSP-based EMUI instead of HarmonyOS for the Chinese market. It should run the company’s own Kirin chipset, and there is no 5G support in the global model.

The HUAWEI Mate X6 comes in Nebula Red, Black, Nebula Gray colors and is priced at AED 7199 (USD 1960 / Rs. 1,66,340 approx.). It is already available for order in the UAE through HUAWEI’s online platforms as well as certified retailers.
