Netflix showed off the new Squid Game: Unleashed mobile game at the Geeked Week ’24 back in September. At The Game Awards in Los Angeles, ahead of the game’s December 17th release, the company has announced that the game will be available to everyone for a limited time, regardless if they are a Netflix member or not.
Developed by Boss Fight, a Netflix Game Studio, Squid Game: Unleashed is a 32-player party royale showdown featuring challenges fans will recognize from the hit series (and some new ones). However, you don’t need to have watched the show Squid Game to play this game.
Team up with friends, face off against enemies, and race through deadly obstacles to prove your skills and claim ultimate glory. Dominate the competition and unlock rewards through daily missions and themed events inspired by the Squid Game universe.
You can play Squid Game: Unleashed on Android and iOS without ads, in-app purchases or extra fees starting from December 17th.
The company also unveiled new footage of Squid Game: Unleashed alongside a sneak peek of Squid Game Season 2 series which premieres December 26th on Netflix.
Regarding this, Alain Tascan, President, Games at Netflix, said:
Squid Game is Netflix’s most watched series ever, and we want everyone around the world to be able to take part in its return by making Unleashed available to everyone, which is a first for Netflix Games. Squid Game: Unleashed is all about playing with (or against) your friends in the iconic games from the series like Glass Bridge and Red Light Green Light, so we’re inviting everyone into the chaos this holiday season.
