After rumours and teasers, OnePlus today confirmed that it will introduce the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro smartphones in the Ace 5 series in China on December 26th. The company has also posted an image of the phones which look similar, featuring triple rear cameras, metal frame and an alert slider.
Regarding the phones, OnePlus China head Louis Jie said:
The Ace 5 series marks a new chapter of OnePlus’s “performance leap”: fierce performance, a generation faster. With the support of the chip-level technology “Fengchi Game Core”, OnePlus Ace 5 adjusts the Snapdragon 8Gen3 to the level of “8 Gen 3.5”, and the Ace 5 Pro squeezes out the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition, which will become the “game ceiling” in the mobile phone, bringing an unprecedented gaming experience.
He added that the OnePlus Ace 5 series will bring the biggest performance experience upgrade in history. The Snapdragon flagship chip + “Fengchi Game Core” brings unlimited full frames for long-term games, and the new generation of glacier batteries combines lightness and excellent battery life.
OnePlus claims 3.21 million points on AnTuTu for Ace 5 Pro and says that even after heavy 5 hours of gameplay, the frame rate will be steady 120 fps.
