realme is all set to launch its realme 14 Pro Series in India soon. The series will incorporate a unique cold-sensitive color-changing back panel. Ahead of the launch, the company elaborated on this design breakthrough it has achieved in partnership with leading Scandinavian industrial design studio Valeur Designers.
World’s First Cold-sensitive Color-changing Phone
The realme 14 Pro series’ back panel incorporates advanced thermochromic pigments that react to temperature fluctuations: below 16°C, the back cover shifts from pearl white to vibrant blue, reversing as temperatures rise. This groundbreaking temperature-responsive color-changing technique allows the device’s appearance to shift dynamically with changing temperatures.
realme 14 Pro Series with Unique Pearl Design
Complementing the color-changing back panel, the design team has incorporated “Unique Pearl Design.” The Pearl White variant of the series boats a distinctive pearl-like texture, achieved with organic seashell powder, a slim sub-8mm quad-curved profile, and a glamorous, pearl-like luster, says the company.
In addition to the pearl-like texture, the series features a unique pattern achieved through a 30-step “fusion fiber” process using 95% eco-friendly, bio-based materials. Thanks to these design implementations, realme promises a smartphone with unique aesthetics, a premium in-hand experience, and a comfortable grip.
Ocean Oculus Triple Camera Setup
Among the Pro series, the realme 14 Pro+ 5G, in particular, will feature a flagship-level quad-curved display with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8%. The back houses a circular triple-camera setup, which the brand refers to as the “Ocean Oculus,” featuring a unique “MagicGlow” triple flash that promises true-to-life night portraits.
The series is confirmed to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, AI features like AI Ultra Clarity 2.0, advanced camera algorithms, and a periscope telephoto camera on the Pro+ model.
Like most recent smartphones, this series will also have IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications making them dust-resistant, withstand water immersion (up to 1.5 meters for an hour), and have high-pressure jets. In addition, the series also obtained TÜV Rheinland certification for its rugged design.
The series launch will happen in January 2024. We should get more information on the launch date in the coming days.
