OnePlus is gearing up to launch its next smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch 3, in the first quarter of 2025. A recent leak shared by SmartPrix reveals that the upcoming model will feature a rotating crown, a significant improvement over the previous model.
The leak includes renders based on a prototype, showcasing the rotating crown design with smaller bezels. The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to come in two color options, with the overall design largely remaining consistent with its predecessor.
The most notable upgrade will be the addition of the rotating digital crown. On the OnePlus Watch 2, the crown was non-functional, but the new version is expected to resolve this limitation.
The smartwatch is also rumored to include LTE connectivity, WearOS 5, and an improved heart rate sensor with ECG functionality. However, the ECG feature may only be available in select markets. Internally, the OnePlus Watch 3 will be powered by a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.
Battery life is expected to improve through the use of RTOS alongside WearOS. Reports suggest a battery capacity of at least 500 mAh, with some leaks hinting at a 648 mAh battery, as indicated by a recent FCC certification under the model number OPWW234.
Launch Timeline
The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to launch in early 2025. Although the OnePlus 13 series is set to debut on January 7, 2025, there is no confirmation that the smartwatch will be unveiled alongside the smartphones.
