POCO X7 Pro: Dimensity 8400 Ultra, 6550mAh battery confirmed ahead of India launch

After confirming the launch of POCO X7 Pro smartphone in the POCO X7 series in India and global markets on January 9th, POCO has confirmed that the X7 Pro will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra SoC.

This makes it the fastest phone in the under Rs. 30,000 segment with scores of over 1.7 million on AnTuTu, which is a 20% increase compared to POCO X6 Pro powered by Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC, says POCO.

The company has also confirmed that it will be the first phone in India with a whopping, 6550mAh carbon silicon battery, even though the global variant gets a 6000mAh battery.

POCO has also confirmed LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for the phone. It will come with 5000mm² stainless steel VC cooling, ultra-thin 3D IceLoop system, AI temperature control and wildboost optimization 3.0 with HyperOS 2.0 offering high quality image rendering, high fps / refresh rate in gaming and refreshed UI.

The phone will support 90W fast charging, has Surge P2 chip charging chipset, Surge G1 battery chipset, and has passed 58 safety measures for a reliable charging. The company says that the battery will maintain over 80% charge even after 1600 charging cycles.

Earlier reports revealed 6.67-inch 1.5K 120Hz LTPS OLED display, 50MP main camera with f/1.5 aperture, OIS, 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, 4K 60fps video recording, and a 20MP front camera.
