Samsung Electronics today unveiled its collaboration with Google to integrate Eclipsa Audio into its 2025 TV and soundbar lineup. This advanced 3D audio technology is designed to enhance the listening experience by offering more control over sound placement, intensity, and spatial reflections.
What is Eclipsa Audio?
Eclipsa Audio is a next-generation audio technology that creates an immersive, three-dimensional sound experience. It allows content creators to adjust key elements of audio, including the location, intensity, and spatial reflections of sound. This results in a more realistic and enveloping audio experience, perfect for enhancing movies, games, and other content.
Broader Accessibility for Consumers
Samsung, which holds the largest market share in TVs over 75 inches globally, is bringing this innovative technology to a wider audience. By integrating Eclipsa Audio into its 2025 TV lineup, including models ranging from the Crystal UHD series to the premium Neo QLED 8K series, Samsung is making this advanced sound technology accessible to a broad range of consumers.
Ensuring High-Quality Audio Standards
To maintain high audio fidelity, Samsung and Google are collaborating with the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) to develop a certification program for devices featuring Eclipsa Audio. This initiative will ensure that consumers experience top-tier audio quality across all compatible devices.
Expanding Content Availability
Starting in 2025, YouTube users will be able to upload content featuring Eclipsa Audio tracks. Viewers with compatible Samsung devices will be able to enjoy premium spatial audio while watching videos that support the technology on the platform.
