realme has announced a partnership with KRAFTON India to become the official smartphone partner for the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES (BGIS) 2025 and BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRO SERIES (BMPS) 2025. The collaboration aims to enhance the mobile gaming experience and support the growth of esports in India.
With India’s gaming population estimated at approximately 450 million, and projected to reach 720 million by 2028, both companies aim to capitalize on this expanding market. realme’s stated goal is to increase brand visibility within the gaming community through this partnership.
realme said that it has established an internal team dedicated to esports product innovation and technology research, encompassing research and development, marketing, and product divisions. The company is collaborating with KRAFTON India on joint research and development, including debugging, to improve the esports ecosystem in India.
The realme GT 7 Pro will be the official smartphone for BGIS 2025. The company states this device is designed for high performance. realme has indicated upcoming developments in its gaming-focused product line.
The BGIS 2025 LAN Finals will be held in Kolkata, featuring a prize pool of INR 2 crores. Registration for BGIS 2025 is currently open on the official KRAFTON India Esports website.
