Samsung unveils Vision AI, Neo QLED TVs and more at CES 2025


Samsung Electronics today introduced Samsung Vision AI at the CES 2025 First Look event, showcasing its latest technologies aimed at smarter living. In addition, the company revealed its new flagship Neo QLED 8K QN990F, along with updates to its Lifestyle TVs and future display technologies.

Samsung Vision AI: Smarter, Adaptive Screens

Samsung Vision AI is designed to create more personalized, intuitive, and seamless screen experiences. By making Samsung TVs aware of their environment and user preferences, Vision AI integrates a range of smart features that enhance entertainment, simplify interactions, and improve integration with smart home ecosystems.

Key features of Samsung Vision AI include:

  • Click to Search: Provides instant information about what’s on screen, such as identifying actors or exploring content, all without interrupting the viewing experience.
  • Live Translate: Real-time subtitle translations powered by on-device AI, removing language barriers and enabling seamless global content consumption.
  • Generative Wallpaper: Turns screens into dynamic, personalized art canvases that users can customize to match their taste or any occasion.

Samsung Vision AI also turns screens into central hubs for smarter living by integrating with the SmartThings ecosystem:

  • Home Insights: Provides real-time updates on the household environment, including safety alerts and daily updates.
  • Pet and Family Care: Detects unusual behavior in pets and family members, automatically adjusting room settings and delivering updates to enhance comfort and peace of mind.

Furthermore, Vision AI optimizes picture and sound quality through on-device AI technologies that analyze content and environmental factors in real time, adjusting visuals and audio for an immersive experience.

Expanding AI Partnerships

Samsung Vision AI is designed to evolve with planned collaborations with major AI companies like Microsoft. The company introduced new Smart TVs and Smart Monitors featuring Microsoft Copilot, which will provide personalized content recommendations and more.

Additionally, Samsung is exploring partnerships with other AI leaders, including Google, to expand Vision AI’s capabilities. These collaborations are aimed at creating more intelligent, personalized experiences while strengthening the AI-powered screen ecosystem.

The New Neo QLED 8K QN990F and More

Samsung’s flagship Neo QLED 8K QN990F is designed with AI-driven enhancements for superior picture and sound quality. Powered by the new NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor, the QN990F features:

  • 8K AI Upscaling Pro: Upscales lower-resolution content to stunning 8K quality.
  • Auto HDR Remastering Pro: Enhances visuals with scene-adaptive color expansion.
  • Adaptive Sound Pro: Optimizes sound elements like speech, music, and effects.
  • AI Mode: Dynamically adjusts picture and sound based on the content and viewing environment.

The QN990F comes with a minimalist design and a Wireless One Connect Box, enabling a clutter-free installation with a wireless connection of up to 10 meters.

Other Neo QLED models include the QN900F (8K), QN90F (4K), QN80F, and QN70F, all equipped with glare-free technology and AI features powered by Vision AI.

For 2025, Samsung’s Vision AI features will be integrated across all its new TVs, offering additional personalization and optimization tools, such as:

  • Samsung Food: Identifies food on-screen, provides recipes, and links with a connected fridge for grocery lists or ordering takeout.
  • AI Home Security: Turns TVs into home monitoring hubs, alerting users to unusual sounds or movements.

Samsung’s OLED and The Frame Updates

Samsung’s OLED lineup introduces models like the S95F, featuring the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor for improved glare-free technology, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a brighter display. The Frame lineup expands with The Frame Pro, offering advanced Neo QLED picture quality, enhanced local dimming, and a sleeker installation via the Wireless One Connect Box.

Samsung continues to blend art and technology with the Samsung Art Store, now featuring over 3,000 curated works from renowned global partners. Art enthusiasts can access these collections across various Samsung TV models, including The Frame, Neo QLED, and MICRO LED series.

The Future of Display Technology

At CES 2025, Samsung unveiled The Premiere 5, the industry’s first interactive triple-laser ultra-short-throw projector. It includes an interactive touch feature, allowing users to engage directly with projected images. Samsung also showcased the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror, combining advanced technology with personalized beauty insights for daily routines.
