itel has expanded its budget-friendly A series with the launch of the itel A80 in India. The device features a 6.67-inch punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Dynamic Bar that shows live alerts, a feature common across itel smartphones.
The phone is 8.54mm thick, features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, is IP54-rated for water resistance, and is available in three colors:
- Glacier White: A mix of glossy and matte finishes with a glacier pattern.
- Wave Blue: Meteor texture with golden highlights.
- Sandstone Black: Frosted texture.
The itel A80 is powered by the Unisoc T603 octa-core processor, paired with 8GB of RAM (4GB built-in plus 4GB RAM expansion) and 128GB of internal storage, with support for memory expansion up to 2TB via a 3-card slot. The company claims smooth performance for up to three years.
The camera setup includes a 50MP rear camera with flash and a ring light notification, and an 8MP front camera. The device is backed by a 5000mAh battery with Type-C charging. According to the company, a full charge lasts up to three days for regular users and 1-2 days for heavy users, with a battery lifespan of over four years.
Running on itel OS 14, based on Android 14 Go, the device offers features like a Landscape Display clock widget for charging in landscape mode, Ultra Power Saving Mode to extend battery life, and Smart Link+ for better signal stability, reducing network latency by 20%.
