OnePlus is all set to unveil its highly anticipated flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 13 Series, along with a new variant of its flagship earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Pro 3, at its Winter Launch Event tomorrow, January 7, 2025.
The event will be livestreamed globally on OnePlus India’s YouTube channel, starting at 9:00 PM IST.
Performance and Durability
The OnePlus 13 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, targeting users with demanding performance needs. It also boasts an IP68/IP69 rating, suggesting a high level of resistance to dust and water. The OnePlus 13R, on the other hand, features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, emphasizing its performance capabilities. Both models are equipped with a 6000 mAh battery, described as the largest ever in a OnePlus smartphone.
Camera Capabilities
The OnePlus 13 Series features a 5th-generation Hasselblad Camera system with a triple-camera setup on the rear. The OnePlus 13 specifically highlights “Snapshot” and “Clear Burst” features, designed for capturing fast-moving subjects.
Design and Aesthetics
The OnePlus 13 Series introduces a new design language, particularly in the camera layout, which is said to follow the golden ratio. The OnePlus 13 will be available in three colorways: Midnight Ocean, Arctic Dawn, and Black Eclipse. Midnight Ocean features a micro-fiber vegan leather back, while Arctic Dawn has a surface-based glass coating designed for a smooth feel and fingerprint resistance.
The OnePlus 13R will be available in Nebula Noir and Astral Trail. It features Gorilla Glass 7i on the front and back, combined with an aluminum frame, and a flat screen design within a 8mm thin body.
OxygenOS 15 and AI Integration
The OnePlus 13 Series will run on OxygenOS 15, which incorporates AI features. These include “Intelligent Search” for finding local files using natural language prompts and AI-powered photography tools like “Reflection Eraser.”
Refreshed OnePlus Buds Pro 3
The OnePlus Buds Pro 3 will be released in a new Sapphire Blue color, intended to complement the Midnight Ocean variant of the OnePlus 13. In conjunction with the OnePlus 13 Series, the earbuds will feature AI Translation, designed to enhance communication.
