Flying Flea, the new electric vehicle (EV) brand from Royal Enfield, has announced its collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies to integrate the Snapdragon QWM2290 system-on-chip (SoC) and Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Platform into its upcoming electric motorcycles.
Following its global unveiling in Milan in November 2024, Flying Flea is designed to seamlessly blend technology, style, and performance. The brand emphasizes the integration of both hardware and software to provide an exceptional two-wheeled experience, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon technology playing a central role in enabling a connected and smooth interaction between the rider and the bike.
Snapdragon QWM2290 SoC for Seamless Connectivity
The Snapdragon QWM2290 SoC, specifically designed for two-wheelers, powers the Flying Flea’s control unit, running on a custom-built operating system. This system manages all aspects of the bike’s performance and rider experience, displayed on an interactive round TFT cluster.
With the Snapdragon Car-to-Cloud Platform, Flying Flea motorcycles remain connected via 4G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi, ensuring continuous communication between rider and bike both on and off the road. Riders will enjoy a smooth, secure, and intuitive interface, complemented by a dedicated Voice Assist button.

- A Legacy Reimagined: The Flying Flea motorcycle revives the classic Flying Flea design with a modern twist. It features a front suspension with an aluminum girder fork and an articulating mudguard to improve performance.
- Radical Design: The motorcycle boasts a forged aluminum frame, ensuring a strong yet lightweight structure. The magnesium battery case is engineered for optimal weight savings and cooling efficiency.
- Tech Integration: Flying Flea motorcycles come with “Phone as a Key” technology, allowing users to unlock and start their bike using a mobile phone. The integrated software optimizes riding performance, enhancing mileage and ride quality. Additionally, remote software upgrades and wireless phone charging keep the bike up-to-date.
- Ride Confident: Featuring easy twist-and-go acceleration, Flying Flea offers smooth city riding, effortlessly handling urban traffic. The bike also provides efficient highway cruising with cruise control functionality.
Customizable and Intuitive Ride Modes
Flying Flea motorcycles offer five customizable ride modes, including Performance, City, and Reverse, each with specific features like lean-angle sensing ABS and smooth urban navigation.
Riders can adjust settings for power, regeneration, and traction, allowing up to 200,000 unique ride combinations tailored to individual preferences and terrain, ensuring a highly personalized riding experience.
Availability
Flying Flea’s debut models, the classic-inspired FF-C6 and the scrambler-styled FF-S6, are set for release by early 2026. The FF-C6 features a vintage look, while the FF-S6 offers a scrambler variant.
The company is expected to announce test ride details closer to the 2026 sale date and may also showcase the bike at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, scheduled from January 17-22, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.
